Ms. Atika Masood earned her BS in Food & Nutrition from the University of Home Economics in 2018, followed by completing her M.Phil. in Food Sciences and Human Nutrition from Kinnaird College for Women University, Lahore. Throughout her academic journey, she achieved notable success, securing distinction in 2016 from University of the Punjab. During her student life, she participated actively in extracurricular activities and was also a part of the Student Council throughout her academic journey at University of Home Economics. She also served as Head Girl of the College in 2016.

Since joining the Department of Nutrition and Health Promotion, she has demonstrated exceptional teaching skills and a keen interest in culinary arts. She is also part of many Departmental Committees alongside her duties as a Lecturer.  Ms. Atika is the Semester Coordinator BS HND (session 2022-2026). She is an active member of the Departmental Examination Committee, Student Scholarship Committee, Admission Committee and Timetable Committee. Her prior teaching experience at the Faculty of Allied Health Science, University of South Asia, adds to her value as a member of the University of Home Economics and the broader food and nutrition community.

Her research interests include exploring the intricate relationships between diet, lifestyle factors, and disease risk in various populations and product development in the field of nutrition. She has actively participated in various workshops, trainings, and national and international conferences on nutrition. She is passionate about empowering young girls to make informed dietary choices, adopt healthy lifestyles, and excel academically.
