The newly offered Post Graduate Diploma in Speech & Language Pathology (PGD-SLP) is a 24-credit hours program that prepares graduates to achieve competence and confidence with clinical/ professional training in speech and language therapy. It focuses on a variety of teaching and learning methods including self-directed learning. The program will integrate the development of theoretical knowledge with clinical skills across a wide range of client service groups. The program will offer in-depth knowledge for assessment, identification, treatment, support, and care for infants, children, young people, and adults who may have a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs, or difficulties with eating, drinking and swallowing.
Employability
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be capable of applying theoretical knowledge to the diagnostic, therapeutic, educative, and technical roles of the speech and language therapists within the healthcare, educational and social welfare sectors.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling program provides opportunities for students to develop their knowledge and skills as a counsellor and is especially suited to those considering a career as a practicing counsellor. Counselling is a therapeutic approach with two major strands: firstly, helping people cope with emotional and relational difficulties and, secondly, facilitating personal growth. The program is designed to develop students’ theoretical knowledge, therapeutic competency, and culmination as professional counsellors. Students will develop skills in a range of evidence-based counselling modalities; learn to practice within an ethical framework and apply ethical decision-making models to practice; and demonstrate sensitivity to all forms of cultural diversity by providing culturally safe services to a wide range of clients. As a part of the program, students are required to undertake a placement where they need to acquire 100 hours of face-to-face therapeutic work. Supervised clinical training occurs with a diverse client population, presenting a broad range of individual, couple, and family problems in a range of mental health and health care settings.
Employability
The course equips graduates to work as counsellors in the public, private, and community sectors. The program will offer three specializations including School Counselling, Marriage & Family Counseling as well as Child & Adolescent Counseling. After studying core courses in the first semester, students will choose a specialization of their liking from the three mentioned above. During the 3rd semester, they will be offered field placements in their relevant specializations.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education (PGD-ECE) is a program that prepares graduates to achieve competence and confidence in working in the early childhood education sector. It focuses on nurturing participants’ professional knowledge, skills and attitudes for incorporation into teaching practice, enabling them to gradually develop into competent early childhood educators and administrators in ECE settings. The program offers a range of coursework combined with field experience encompassing the needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children in the primary grades. Students are taught to seek evidence-based solutions to problems occurring in child-rearing and education.
Employability
The program seeks to form early childhood educators and specialists (preschool and primary school teachers and administrators, child development consultants, and researchers) who can effectively blend theory and practice in creating positive learning opportunities and experiences for young children to promote their total development.
