Lahore (01st January 2023): University of Home Economics (UHE) Annual Report Covers designed by Southern California, USA based sml design company were amongst the best-of-year designs in the recently concluded 59th Annual Graphic Design USA Awards 2022.

With over 14,000 submissions from around the world, only the top 10 percent — including sml design company and UHE – were recognized as winners in this best-of-year program. The design got selected because of the following reason:

“The University of Home Economics in Lahore, Pakistan is a multi-disciplinary institution exclusively for girls. Ever since its inception in the 1950s, it has been widely regarded as a prestigious college of higher learning and was recently accorded university status. In producing these annual report covers, we have leveraged the traditional colloquial metaphor of a butterfly (beautiful, colorful, delicate yet productive and hardworking) in the local vernacular by giving it a contemporary digital touch”.

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen said that it is an honor and pleasure to win such a prestigious award for UHE. She said UHE annual reports were prepared in a professional manner by UHE designing team. However, for the title cover Mr. Salman Lodhi was contacted by the Vice Chancellor, who is a multiple awards winner senior designer of sml company and he did the job for free being an old family friend.

The annual reports have been presented to the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, HED, Members of statutory bodies, vice chancellors of other universities. A digital copy may be downloaded through our official website. The reports present the overall academic performance and achievements of the university for three years from June 2019- May 2022.
