The Career and Placement Center in collaboration with the English Department organized a workshop on “No boundary-Multidisciplinary Research and Career Path” for language and literature students.
This workshop was designed particularly for English Language and Literature students as it gave insights on developing research skills and seeking job opportunities in diverse fields linked to this subject.
The workshop was organized by Ms. Kainat Khalid, focal person Career and Placement Centre and Lecturer Department of English.
The session was conducted by Dr. Javaria Farooqui, Assistant Professor, COMSATS University Lahore Campus. Dr. Javeria highlighted the significance of a humanities degree and discussed the potential professional avenues for Language and Literature degree holders.
The key aspect of today’s workshop is to help students learn how to build professional profiles by creating a persona, and employability enhancement because of it.
Dr. Farooqui also talked about potential places to find research funding and how to avail them. The batches of English Language and Literature 2022 and 2023 both actively participated and the session ended with a Q&A session.
Dr. Irum Rubab, Director of Student Affairs presented the souvenir to the guest speaker and also shared her valuable feedback. Ms. Mashal, in charge of the Department of English, was also present in the session.
