Companies Offer placement to students at University of Home Economics Job Fair
The first-ever job fair was organized by the Career and Placement Centre of UHE and was abuzz with excitement for students.
The event commenced with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting by chief guest Dr. Kiran Imran Dar, a former member of the National Assembly, alongside Vice-Chancellor Syeda Dr. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi. This symbolic gesture underscored the university’s unwavering dedication to fostering robust industry-academia collaborations.
The Job Fair attracted a diverse spectrum of participants, including international consultants, IT firms, tourism organizations, and representatives from the food and education sectors. This eclectic mix provided students with a unique platform to engage with industry experts and explore promising career avenues.

Dr. Kiran Dar said the Department of Human Nutrition and Health Promotion captivated attendees with their innovative food products tailored to modern dietary preferences, emphasizing health, sustainability, and convenience.
Additionally, students conducted interactive sessions on personalized nutrition counseling, showcasing their proficiency in providing tailored dietary guidance to individuals.
The Interior Design Department was impressed with projects focusing on architectural and interior space planning, while the Media and Communication Studies Department exhibited captivating street-style photography.
The Fashion Design and Textile Department showcased exquisite costumes and the Computer Science and Information Technology Department presented cutting-edge projects on smart systems.
The Visual Communication Design Department dazzled with captivating photography and poster designs, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.
The Job Fair was arranged by Ms. Kainat Khalid, focal person of Career and Placement Centre and convened by Dr. Abbas Khan.
