Laiba Butt English Lecturer

Ms. Laiba Butt is currently a Ph.D. scholar in Linguistics as well as a gold medallist from the University of the Punjab, with an M.Phil. in Applied Linguistics from Kinnaird College for Women (2021). Previously, she taught at Lahore College for Women University and worked as a Content Editor at the Governor House, Lahore. Since 2022, she has been a part of UHE, where she serves as the Coordinator of Functional English for the BS program in the Department of English. She is also the focal person for the Women Development Centre (WDC) Additionally, she is the department’s Focal Person for the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), and the University’s Public Relations Office. Ms. Laiba has presented her research at national and international conferences, specializing in Corpus Linguistics, Critical Discourse Analysis, and Sociolinguistics, with expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research approaches.
