Begum CM Punjab Unveils Street Art Exhibition at UHE
Lahore (Tuesday, December 12, 2023): The University of Home Economics (UHE) Lahore witnessed the inauguration of an exhibition showcasing street art, officiated by Begum Chief Minister Punjab, Dr. Warda Mohsin Naqvi.
The ceremony was attended by Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, Registrar Shujaat Muneef Qureshi, Dr. Tayyaba Sohail, and faculty members and students.
The displayed artworks featured creations by students specializing in fine art, visual communication design, and media and mass communication studies.
Addressing the students, Dr. Warda Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the fortunate opportunity for women to pursue education and encouraged a proactive role in societal development.
She urged students to harbor ambitious dreams, emphasizing women’s pivotal role in shaping the nation’s bright future. Dr. Warda highlighted the significance of street art as a powerful medium to address social issues.
Dr. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi underscored the university’s commitment to providing top-tier educational facilities, citing the establishment of the Financial Aid Office, Student Facility Center, and Career and Placement Center.
Dr. Kazmi also announced ongoing collaborations with alumni for new development programs within the university. Emphasizing student autonomy, she noted that the displayed artworks were chosen by students based on their personal interests, aiming to enhance their skills.
There were around 40 students who displayed their artwork in the exhibition and Zainab Alim, Lecturer of VCD was the instructor of this artwork exhibition.
