Women Development Center UHE partners with the Gender Studies Department, PU, and the United States Institute of Peace.

A day training session on “Gender, Peace and Security” was held today at UHE. The session was conducted by Dr. Nayyab Malik, Assistant Professor, Department of Gender Studies, and Dr Ra’ana Malik, Chairperson Department of Gender Studies, PU whereas it was convened by Dr. Irum Rubab, Incharge WDC.

As part of the project, The inclusion of women in peace-building projects and the need for gender-segregated data to ensure effective policy-making was discussed.

Focal Person Women Development Center Ms. Laiba Butt and the interns of WDCs from the Department of English, Department of Sociology and Gender Studies, and Department of Health and Nutrition received their certificates of appreciation from the worthy Professor Dr. Ra’ana Malik, Chairperson, DGS, PU and Souvenirs were given to the resource persons.
