UHE Secures First Position in All Pakistan HEC Debating Competition

The University of Home Economics, Lahore, has achieved a significant milestone as its students secured first position in the regional round (Punjab) of the All Pakistan Urdu Debating Competition organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
The competition, held at Punjab University, brought together top-tier institutions from across the province. The University of Home Economics distinguished itself by winning overall first position in the Urdu category.
In recognition of their outstanding performance, the university’s team was awarded the prestigious team trophy along with a cash prize of PKR 100,000.
The winning team comprised Tanzeel-al-Noor (8th semester, Department of Interior Design), Areeba Amjad (4th semester, Department of Nutritionand HealthPromotion), and Rameen Tariq (2nd semester, Department of English), who delivered eloquent and impactful speeches in Urdu.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zaib-un-nisa Hussain congratulated the students on this notable achievement. She emphasized the university’s commitment to nurturing the talents and intellectual capabilities of its students by providing them with quality opportunities for growth.
She also extended her appreciation to Ms. Mashal Nawaz, Advisor to the Debating Society, for her valuable mentorship and guidance.
