UHE establishes Financial Aid Office
Lahore (Thursday, October 26, 2023): The University of Home Economics marked a significant milestone with the establishment of its Financial Aid Office, officially inaugurated by renowned motivational speaker Syed Qasim Ali Shah.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, Senior Journalist Salman Ghani, Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa, Dr. Tayyaba Sohail, Director QEC Ahmed Faraz, Registrar Shujaat Muneef Qureshi, and a gathering of students and faculty members.
Addressing the students at the auditorium, Syed Qasim Ali Shah shed light on the distinction between a boss and a leader, emphasizing that a leader has the capacity to guide a team toward success and nurture future leaders.
He also announced plans to provide paid internships for computer science students at the university and expressed his commitment to increasing scholarships for deserving students.
Prof. Kazmi expressed her pride in the university’s dedicated staff who tirelessly work towards its improvement. She encouraged students to exert themselves with diligence and dedication.
The Vice-Chancellor further shared that the UHE will organize an International Conference on Iqbal’s Peace Philosophy in the upcoming month. She said this office will serve the financial needs of brilliant students.
University alumnus Zeeshan Zia Raja lauded teaching as a secure and rewarding career for women, contributing to their bright future. Senior journalist Salman Ghani urged young Pakistanis to draw inspiration from Fatima Jinnah, highlighting that education is the cornerstone of development.
He acknowledged the challenges in Pakistan, including limited government funding for education and a need for critical decisions in the sector. The Media Club of UHE actively participated in organizing the ceremony.
