UHE Enhances Staff Safety with Distribution of Protective Gear

Lahore (Friday, September 29, 2023): In a new initiative, Prof. Dr. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Home Economics (UHE), has distributed essential safety gear to the university’s x-grade staff to ensure their well-being.

This significant gesture took place during a ceremony held at the main auditorium as part of the Eid Melad e Nabi (PBUH) celebrations with the supportive staff.

Approximately 50 x-grade staff members received specialized safety equipment, including uniforms, gloves, shoes, and cutter machines.

During her address to the employees, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syeda Faleeha Zahra Kazmi expressed that the university is commemorating Melad e Nabi (PBUH) in a distinctive manner by prioritizing the safety of its staff.

She emphasized the vital role played by the x-grade staff as the backbone of the institution and affirmed the university’s commitment to providing them with the latest safety gadgets for enhanced security.

Mr. Shaujaat Muneef Qureshi, the Registrar of UHE, stressed the importance of staff members using these safety tools regularly and assured them that the university has plans to further bolster their support in the near future.

Mr. Malik Muhammad Hanif Khokhar, Deputy Estate Office, conveyed his gratitude to the vice-chancellor for the thoughtful provision of these safety gadgets, which will undoubtedly contribute to a safer work environment for the staff.
