(6 October 2022): The students of eight academic institutions got training in a two-day workshop on Nutritional Practices in Clinical Care, which was organized by the Department of Nutrition and Health Promotion of the University of Home Economics Lahore. Mudassir Riaz Malik, DG of Punjab Food Authority, and Dr. Shehla Javed Akram Founder, of the Women Commerce Chamber, were guests in the closing ceremony as a chief guest.
While addressing to the students Mudassir Riaz Malik stated that the Punjab food authority is ready to facilitate UHE students for their internships in learning practical skills. He also ensured mutual collaboration with UHE for strengthening its students.
Dr. Shehla Javed emphasized the importance of writing a good nutrition prescription in order to promote healthy food habits in society. The workshop was attended by the students of Riphah International University, University of South Asia, Gulab Devi Educational Complex, Premier Institute, University of Management and Technology, Minhaj University, Akhtar Saeed Medical College, and the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.
