A seminar titled “From University Halls to Office Walls: How to Overcome Real-World Challenges” was organized with Mr. Talat Mahfooz Butt, a practicing Print and Digital Media professional and Creative Head at Growex Digital Agency, as the keynote speaker.
Students from the Department of Visual Communication & Design actively engaged with Mr. Butt, gaining valuable insights into the challenges faced in the field of Graphic Design, particularly from the perspective of female designers entering the workforce.
Drawing from his extensive 25+ years of experience in the industry, Mr. Butt shed light on key market challenges, including the fears fresh graduates may encounter in workplace settings and freelance opportunities.
He also discussed the reality of navigating toxic environments in the professional sphere and broader society, encouraging students to remain resilient, maintain their patience, and consistently strive for excellence in their work.
The seminar was organized under the initiative of Assistant Professors Mr. Muhammad Ashfaq and Mr. Ahmed Faraz from the Department of Graphic Design, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal #4: Quality Education.
In their concluding remarks, the professors emphasized the importance of organizing such seminars and workshops with industry professionals to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
