The University has established the Independent Living Centre for the special needs person.
The ceremony was attended by Zahoor Hussain, Secretary Social Welfare Department, and Prof. Dr. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, Vice-Chancellor.
The center will provide an independent and facilitating space for mobility and working for the employees and students with disabilities at UHE.

Mr. Zahoor Hussain lauded the idea of renovating the existing structures and making them mobility-friendly rather than constructing new buildings.
In the ceremony, Ms. Akifa Saeed, a faculty member, also shared her experience and welcomed the idea of ILC at UHE stressing its need and importance as a person with a disability.
She also thanked the worthy Vice Chancellor for coming up with the idea and for her sincere efforts in its conception.
The ceremony was arranged under the supervision of the Department of Sociology & Gender Studies and the Sociological Society for Inclusivity and Sustainability. The alumnus Dr. Amna will be supporting the center.
