The Department of Nutrition and Health Promotion & Kanwal Wellness Centre celebrated International Women’s Day in collaboration with UNICEF Punjab and ORIC UHE organized a seminar.

The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Asmaa Bilal, Chairperson of the department.

Keynote speaker Ms. Uzma Bujhari shed light on UNICEF’s ECD Vision and Nurturing Care Framework.

Ms. Robina from the Assma Jhangir Foundation emphasized the importance of parenting programs and gender equality initiatives.

Dr. Junaid, Pro-Vice Chancellor Children’s Hospital Lahore, discussed Early Childhood Development.

Ms. Assma Masud from SBC UNICEF underscored the critical significance of the first 1,000 days of a child’s growth and development.

Prof. Dr. Syeda Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, the chief guest, concluded the event with remarks highlighting the role of women in society and presented inspiring examples, including Begum Ranaa Liaqat Ali Khan.
