Saira Afzal Tarar
Saira Afzal Tarar is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since 2008. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Colleg of Home Economics.
She was elected to the National Assembly for the first time in 2008 from the Constituency NA-102. She has since been re-elected to the National Assembly from the same constituency in 2013 and 2018. In 2013, she was appointed as the Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, a position she held until 2018. During her tenure as Health Minister, she worked to improve the accessibility and quality of healthcare services in Pakistan. Tarar has also been active in promoting women’s rights and has advocated for increasing the participation of women in politics.
