Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Inaugurates Women Entrepreneurship Center at UHE
Lahore (Friday, August 2, 2024): Home Economics University has inaugurated a new center to enhance female students’ professional skills and promote entrepreneurship. The Women Entrepreneurship Center, housed in the Department of Fashion and Textile Design, was inaugurated by Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, senior journalist Dr. Waqar Chaudhry, Registrar Shujaat Muneef Qureshi, Dr. Tayyaba Sohail, Nosheen Zaidi, and various faculty members and students.
In his address, Governor Punjab emphasized the center’s crucial role in training female students, advocating for the support of initiatives like “Made in Pakistan.”
He urged the younger generation to focus on action rather than slogans, highlighting the collective responsibility to improve Pakistan. As the Chancellor of Universities, he expressed his commitment to enhancing the future prospects of university students, stressing that effective leadership involves actively working for the betterment of the institution.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi reiterated the center’s mission to provide professional training and foster entrepreneurial spirit among female students.
She emphasized the university’s dedication to offering comprehensive facilities and adhering to the regulations of the Higher Education Commission to ensure top-tier educational resources for students.
A commemorative shield was presented to Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider for his support and contribution.
