Dr. Atifa Usmani is Associate Professor and chairperson of Visual Communication and Design with twenty three years of experience. Her area of specialization is Art and Design. She did her PhD from Punjab University on the topic of Political Cartooning. She is external examiner BA Home Economics, Textile Design, Steps Institute, Mphil dissertation evaluator, PU and LCWU. She authored a Home Economics practical book for BA students. She is also a freelance newspaper contributor.

She did her Masters from University of the Punjab with major in Home Economics. She has two solo art exhibitions to her credit. Her area of expertise is ceramics. She is also a member of Punjab Textbook Board for the development of Home Economics textbook for Class-X

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

Hajira Ahmad is Lecturer in the Department of Visual Communication Design at University of Home Economics. She graduated from National college of arts Lahore in 2018 with the degree of painting , where she received merit scholarships in 2015 and 2017. And did Mphil in Art History from PUCAD Research Centre Lahore in 2021. Hajira studied Arts, Music and Persian from Kinnaird College for Women University and got a Qaumi zahanat award from the government. She also worked as intern artist in lahore museum for the project of Unesco. Previously hajira worked as Assistant Director in social welfare department Punjab  and Media Advisor to Minister SW&BM. Hajira has been actively participating in different exhibition with  zahoor-ul-akhlaq gallery NCA, high court, Alhamra Lahore, My art world, Makerfest Pakistan, Taseer Gallery, Oart space, Ejaz art Gallery, Muse Art gallery Lahore and  Fakir Khana Museum.  Hajira Ahmad made her first solo show titled as “Tilismaat” at MainFrame The Gallery Karachi. Hajira did conducted a workshop in mix media at French center Lahore and did a residency “The Lens And The Pen” with Tasweerghar and exhibited her work as a writer. Hajira’s work has been published in various magazines and journals.

Ms. Hajrah Zaman is Lecturer in Department of Visual Communication and Design University of Home Economics. She has thirteen years of teaching experience including private and government service. Her area of specialization is Art and Design. She secured 3^rd position and has won bronze medal in her Matriculation exam, BISE and stood 1^st in B.sc Part II exam, PU. She did her M.Phil in Home Economics from University of the Punjab. She supervises report writing and thesis of BS students. She is in charge of preparing students for Art Competitions at different levels and platforms.

As a Fine Artists, Communication designer and Photography emphasis, Ahmed Faraz have worked on several team-designed projects ranging from apparel design to creating products for a business. He has professional 13 Years’ experience combined with theory and concept of design in using Computer graphics and Concept of TTL, BTL & ATL allows me to be a successful member of any design team. I am working as a Calligrapher, Graphic Designer and Photographer.
