Faculty Must Prioritize Research and Academic Excellence: VC UHE Prof. Zaib

Lahore (Wednesday, March 12, 2025): The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Home Economics (UHE) Lahore, Prof. Dr. Zaib-un-nisa Hussain, emphasized the importance of strengthening academic and research standards to ensure quality education on campus. She was addressing the faculty at an event held in the university auditorium.
Prof. Zaib highlighted that faculty members are the backbone of the university and play a crucial role in shaping its academic reputation. She stressed that UHE has the potential to establish itself as a premier institution for women’s education, and achieving this goal requires dedication and commitment from the teaching staff to foster a state-of-the-art academic environment.
She announced that UHE will support and incentivize faculty members who actively contribute to research and academic publications. Additionally, the university plans to introduce new market-oriented academic programs aimed at attracting more female students and enhancing career opportunities for women.
During the event, Prof. Zaib presented a shield of appreciation to Dr. Ayesha Sarfraz in recognition of her efforts in securing a $55,000 research grant from US based Rekhi Foundation for the university.
This initiative marks a significant step towards advancing research culture and academic innovation at UHE.
