- Introduction of Department
The professional interior designer is qualified by education, experience, and examination to enhance the function and quality of interior spaces for the purpose of improving the quality of life, increasing productivity, and protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
And this is what the Department of Interior Design at University of Home Economics has to offer to its future candidates. The Department initiated the first ever Bachelors of Interior Design in 2021, a 4 Year degree program approved by HEC. Since its initiation the Department has been led by faculty members from multiple backgrounds.
- Scope of BS Program
The Philosophy of teaching is designed on practice-based research. Teaching methodology will be a combination of lectures, critical problem solving, field visits, workshops etc. The comprehensive and intensive curriculum will enable students to train professionals seeking innovative and socially responsible design solutions. We will Provide an academic platform for research in the field of interior design.

The focus will be on bringing quality education and learning to students. Interior Design Department at UHE is keen to provide its aspirants with facilities to enhance their skills and understand the importance of creating an environment.
- Placement Opportunities
The course is designed to produce skillful personnel in all areas of Interior Design like furniture, furnishings, lighting, etc. The program also focuses on Identifying environmental issues and developing systems to rectify these issues. Another dimension of this program is to produce academicians and researchers in the field of interior design.
